In the last few years, remarkable progress has been made in understanding black holes. Observations of gravitational waves emitted from a binary black hole merger and black hole shadow allow us to test gravity at strong-field regime via gravitational and electromagnetic waves. From the theoretical side, it is thus important to study wave propagation of fields with different spins on black hole geometry, which is governed by the Teukolsky equation. In this talk, I will introduce our recent work, where we establish an exact formulation for wave scattering of a massless field with spin and charge by a Kerr-Newman-de Sitter black hole. Our formulation is based on the exact solution of the Teukolsky equation in terms of the local Heun function, and does not require any approximation. It provides simple exact formulae with arbitrary high precision, which realize fast calculation without restrictions on model parameters. I will also highlight several applications including quasinormal modes, reflection rate, and Green function.
